Bangkok to Hua Hin Railway Schedule
There are scheduled trains operating daily from Bangkok city via the Krung Thep Aphiwat Station (aka Bangsue Grand Station) to Hua Hin beach town. Trains are a safe mode of transport for long-distance travel. Thailand is currently laying tracks for a dual railway line system, and this should be completed by the end of 2024 for the Bangkok to Hua Hin route, which will cut travel times greatly.
Getting to Krung Thep Aphiwat Station is easiest by the subway system (Purple Line) and disembarking at Bangsue Station, the main central station is connected via an underground walkway, otherwise just ask someone for directions.

On sleeper trains, you can book a seat to Hua Hin, but they are expensive, secondly, the seats are very small in comparison to the Special Express. Another important point to consider is, that shortly after leaving Bangkok the crew comes around to convert the seats into beds, which is somewhat inconvenient.
Trains departing from Thonburi Station
In addition to the above departures from Bangkok, there’s also a south Bangkok train station called Thonburi Station. Two trains depart from this station daily, they are the ordinary slow trains with only 3rd class non-air-conditioned bogeys, but at only a dollar and a half you can’t complain.
